Leonardo Da Vinci

     Hey.  Today I am going to meet Leonardo Da Vinci.  He was one of the most famous inventors and painters the world has ever seen.  He made the first idea for a helicopter and the first plan for a tank.  Well, I am off.

     Okay, I am here.  There are paintings all over the place.  It is like a hoard of paintings.  I must be in his shop.  This is incredible.  There are students learning to be painters in every corner of the room.  Some of the paintings are really good.  It makes me want to paint this well.  Leonardo is in the front of the room giving a lecture.



     He sounds incredible.  He really knows what he is talking about.  He is talking about a painting called the Mona Lisa.  I have heard of it.  It is a picture of a girl in a weird place with a suspicious smile on her face.  I put a picture of her next to this paragraph.  I actually just read something about this painting the other day.  It is one of the most well-known pieces of art in the world.  That is incredible.




     He also made the famous Vitruvian man.  It is a painting that shows the exact human proportions.  It is a man standing in a circle with his arms and legs spread out.  There is writing above and below.  The writing is his calculations.    To me it looks like Michelangelo's "David."  It has the curly hair and everything.  Isn't that cool?  Well, that is all for this mission.  That mission was full of mirth.  Kind of.
