Michelangelo

Hello.  Today, I am going to go and see Michelangelo work.  He was one of the most famous painters and sculptors in the world.  He made the Pieta.  I do not want to talk to him, so I am going to dress like a ninja and sneak around.  If you really think about it, it is kind of like I am stalking him.  Here I go.

I am here in Florence and I heard that he is working on a masterpiece in the middle of town.  It is said to be his best work ever.  I am going there now.  He is going to make it in a workshop, then move it to the middle of town.  Okay, I am here.  The door is open and it is incredibly dark inside.  This is going to be tricky.  I can't see very well in the dark.  Oh well.  I am in and it is not actually all that dark.  All that I can see right now is scaffolding.

I have been here for awhile and not a soul has seen me.  So far, so good.  Michelangelo has been working for awhile now.  He is incredible at carving.  He has made a very realistic face so far and it looks like it is going to come to life.  He also keeps saying the name "David".  I think it is called The David.  Oh, if you were wondering where I am, I am on the scaffolding that is holding the room together above everyone.  He seems like a very mad man.  He yells at the simplest of things.  He haggles with all of his workers about how much he owes them.  I am glad that he is not yelling at me.  It is getting late.  I am going to sleep and when I get up in the morning, I will come back.

Okay, I am up.  Michelangelo is not here yet, so he must be indisposed right now.   I am going to look at his "David".  Man it is incredible.  It is the best artwork that I have ever seen.  Oh darn, he is here and is looking right at me.  Boom! Pow! Crash!  Oh  gosh.  I just knocked him out.  Don"t worry, he is fine - I think.  I have to get out of here.

Okay, I am home and hope that he is okay.  We'll see you next time.
